2008 – 2009 WIPL Season

Yes, it is time to think about the Western International Pistol League (WIPL) again. The first competition will be held Sunday September 21, 2008 at Pacific Shooters Association (PSA) in North Vancouver. As in the past, to make the league available to more competitors, we are opening it up to everyone province wide in the form of postal matches.

Each match will have 2 events: Standard Pistol and Center Fire/Sport Pistol. Both are run back to back with relaxed International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) rules. You can use any caliber in Center Fire. If you only have a .45, then use that. If you don’t have a Center Fire pistol, you can still shoot along with the Center Fire shooters using your .22 in Sport Pistol.

How does it work?

·         You can enter Standard Pistol, Center Fire/Sport Pistol or both.

·         There will be 8 matches with the top 5 scores used for your aggregate total.

·         The cost is $25.00 per event when pre-registering for the season or $5.00 for a single event.

·         Out of town postal shooters may enter for $5.00 per event for the season.

·         Awards will be given at the last match on April 20, 2008.

·         The top three shooters in each club will constitute that club’s team. There will be awards given for Standard Pistol, Center fire, and Sport Pistol at the last match.
